Family winemakers since 1902

Ngatarawa continues over 110 years of Corban family winemaking in New Zealand. We are vigneraons, winemakers, proprietors and custodians an enduring vision – to make wines that reflect both the unique personality of place and the people who make it.

Life times told in wine

Wine is often referred to as a passion that lasts a lifetime. For us it’s a continuum. As third and fourth generation winemakers we are proudly following in the footsteps of our fathers, grandfather and great-grandfather before us. It’s both an acknowledgement of the past and an open invitation to future generations of family winemakers.

Hawkes Bay, New Zealand

Hawkes Bay means different things to different people – good food, great weather, long days, and land like no other. For us it means wine, not just the fashionable stuff, but the stuff that’s hard to graft, hard to grow, hard to make and hard to put down.

Welcome to the family

At Ngatarawa we are making wine with the same kinds of grapes our family has been working with for over a century – Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay and Riesling. Beyond this we are working with new and experimental varietals and styles, blending art and science to make wines for the 21st century.
